The music of The Person is a trip to an artificial island paradise and its fluorescently lit shopping centre. Escapist melodies of sweetness and simplicity are piped throughout the island sound system, from the glittering shoreline, to the cash register, to the restaurant discotheque.
Playing live, the Person’s teetering towers of synths sandwich a velvet souvenir spoon rack full of guitar pedals and various plastic toys between an old laptop, Moog, and vocoder. Their throbbing analogue baselines are aiming for your elastic shoes, moving you on a voyage of dance discovery
This album is one weird masterpiece. Killed my turntable needle a while ago and looked for music to fill the spot - blueblue did. A unique, dreamy, foggy weird journey into contemporary jazz. Love it since the first time listening! StrangeFlow
Great album! A crossover jazz-r'nb-african trip from continent to continent. London does it again. Nyubian Twist with more jazz overtones. John Woodward
